What to carry when you take a mountain bike ride
There are numerous items you should bring with you while going mountain biking for a long day’s ride. The necessities that you should bring with you are listed below.
- Backpack – If you’re going long distances, you should consider bringing along a backpack. Camelbacks or mules are good options because they keep your hands free for carrying other items.
- Waterproof – the type that folds up into a tiny package is ideal.
- Water – for a lengthy bike, you’ll need at least 2 litres.
- Food – the ideal foods to bring with you are sandwiches and energy bars.
- Pump – bring a good one, as little micro pumps are a waste of time and money.
- Tire levers, if necessary.
- You’ll need two tiny inner tubes.
- A 3 inch long and 1 inch broad piece of medium emery paper
- A cut-up tube of Crest to use as a tyre boot or for pinch punctures.
- A carpet needle, no less.
- A linen thread card for mending damaged tyres.
- A decent chain splitter is number 12 on the list.
- At least two black pins are required. These should be taped on the inside of the puncture repair kit’s cover.
- A set of Allen wrenches (nine in all). The best style to obtain is the penknife.
- A screwdriver of a tiny size.
- An elastic bandage is included in the first-aid kit.
- Spokey’s spoke key, no. 17.
- A felt tip pen with a bright colour that will show up on inner tubes.
- I’d want to get some lunch and make a phone call.
Long mountain bike trips should be no issue if you bring the items listed above. Everything on the preceding list will serve a purpose if you only give it a chance. If you’ve ever gone mountain biking and had difficulties, you know how critical having the right equipment is.
